Why is ‘purple scones’ a great blog name?
Because they are a little different to the rest.
Not formed from the standard plain dough you might say. Well I am pretty sure my parents would say so…
The world has some challenging situations we must confront and some of us often find ourselves looking at these from a slightly different perspective than many people around me. Take me – I am a crier and a giggler, a self-reflector, and an awesome over-thinker. I can complicate the simplest idea and I can simplify the most complex problems (as long as those are your problems and not mine!)
Perhaps I am odd?
Perhaps I am too much a thinker and not spontaneous enough – today anyway, and tomorrow – the opposite.
I don’t see life through rose-coloured glasses, but then I don’t see darkness all round either.
I find that a soft shade of purple is a gentle hue to rest tired eyes upon.
And a scone is comfort food, yes?
So what could be a more restful and reflective perspective to take than that of a purple scone.
Enjoy life’s jam and cream, but savour the substance that is the scone.
And be brave – difference is a wonderful thing to have.
